How To Get Rid Of Continue Watching On Disney+

Disney+. We love it. Mickey Mouse, Marvel, Star Wars... what's not to love?
Except... that "Continue Watching" list. Ugh.
Is it just me, or is that list a monument to unfinished dreams? A graveyard of halfway-watched documentaries?

The "Continue Watching" Conundrum
Let's be honest. Some of us just aren't going back to that obscure nature show about Bolivian tree frogs.
It was interesting for, like, ten minutes. But now it haunts the Disney+ home screen, judging us.
So, how do we banish these spectral shows from our viewing lives? Here's the lowdown.
The Scrub-a-Dub-Dub Method
First, the classic. Find the offending title.
Then, fast forward to the very end. Like, the last millisecond.

Wait for the credits to roll. BAM! Considered watched, and hopefully banished.
This is my go-to. I usually binge-watch something, then just quickly scrub through the rest when I'm ready to move on.
The Profile Purge (A Bit Drastic)
Okay, this is the nuclear option. Create a brand new profile.
Think of it as a digital fresh start. No "Continue Watching" baggage!
But be warned: You'll have to set up your preferences all over again. This can be tedious, depending on how many personalized lists you have.

The "Play It Again, Sam" Tactic
Find a short episode of something harmless. Maybe a Simpsons short?
Play it over and over again. Until it pushes the unwanted shows off the list.
This is more of a band-aid than a solution. But hey, sometimes band-aids are all we need.
The "Pretend It Doesn't Exist" Strategy
This is my personal favorite. Just ignore it.
Pretend the "Continue Watching" list is a figment of your imagination. A glitch in the Matrix.

It requires a certain level of mental fortitude. But it's surprisingly effective. Out of sight, out of mind!
Why Does This Bother Us So Much?
Maybe it's the feeling of obligation. That nagging sense that we should finish what we started.
Or maybe it's just visual clutter. Who wants to scroll through a bunch of half-watched shows when there's new Mandalorian to watch?
Whatever the reason, the "Continue Watching" list can be a surprisingly annoying feature.
My Unpopular Opinion
Here's a thought: Disney+ should just give us a "remove from Continue Watching" button!

It's not rocket science. Other streaming services do it.
Come on, Disney! Throw us a bone. A simple button. Is that too much to ask?
Until then, we're stuck with these workarounds. Fast-forwarding, profile-purging, and pretending it doesn't exist.
It's a streaming struggle. But we'll survive.
And maybe, just maybe, one day Disney will hear our cries and grant us the "remove" button we so desperately desire.
Until then, happy streaming! And may your "Continue Watching" list be ever in your favor... or, preferably, empty.
