How To Get Back To Tutorial Boss Elden Ring

Revisiting the Grafted Scion: A Nostalgic Beatdown
Elden Ring is massive. Seriously, it's HUGE. But sometimes, you might want to revisit where it all began.
Remember that opening boss? The Grafted Scion? The one that probably flattened you like a pancake? Well, guess what? You can get a rematch!
First Things First: Varre's Questline
To get back to face the Grafted Scion, you'll need to start a questline. Find Varre, the first NPC you meet after leaving the tutorial cave. He's the guy with the white mask and a rather… unique… personality.
Must Read
Talk to him. Exhaust his dialogue. He'll point you in a certain direction. Just follow his instructions. It's pretty straightforward.
Liurnia and the Academy
Varre's quest eventually leads you to Liurnia of the Lakes. This area is north of where you start. It's a beautiful, watery region filled with all sorts of dangers.
Specifically, you need to make your way to the Academy of Raya Lucaria. This giant magic school looms over the landscape. You can't miss it.

Soaking in Blood
To progress with Varre's quest, you have to soak in maiden's blood. You read that right, that sounded a little too dark for the tone of the article, but don't worry about the context.
Varre requires you to soak a cloth with maiden blood. There are two locations where maiden corpses are situated. One location is the Church of Inhibition. Another one is located on the Revenger's Shack.
A Touch of Multiplayer (Optional)
Varre then asks that you participate in multiplayer. You will need to successfully invade other players' world three times.

Don't worry if you're not a PvP expert. You don't even have to win! Just invade.
The Pureblood Knight's Medal
After completing the maiden's blood and the multiplayer invasion, Varre will grant you the Pureblood Knight's Medal. This is your golden ticket back to the Grafted Scion.
This medal is a reusable key item. Using it teleports you to a secret area. Buckle up!

Moghwyn Palace: A Bloody Reunion
The medal whisks you away to Moghwyn Palace, a vast, blood-soaked area. It's ruled by Mohg, Lord of Blood. We're not here for him (yet!).
Explore Moghwyn Palace. There's a specific spot, a platform overlooking a cliff. From there, you can backtrack to the area where you first fought the Grafted Scion.
The Rematch: Revenge is Best Served Pixelated
And there it is. The Grafted Scion, waiting for a rematch. Now you're stronger, better equipped, and ready to show it who's boss.

It's incredibly satisfying to finally crush this early-game obstacle. Especially if it gave you trouble the first time around.
Why Bother? Nostalgia and Loot!
Why go through all this trouble? Well, for one, it's fun! It's a trip down memory lane. Plus, you get to see how far you've come.
There's also some loot to be had. The Grafted Scion drops items. Every little bit helps in the Lands Between. Most of all, it’s about overcoming a familiar challenge.
So, go revisit the Grafted Scion. It's a rewarding experience that adds another layer to the already incredible world of Elden Ring. You won't regret it.
