How Many Seasons Will There Be Of Dexter New Blood

So, Dexter: New Blood happened. We saw Dexter Morgan...again! But the big question swirling around is: Will there be more?

Will Dexter Rise Again? (Again?)

Let's be honest. The original Dexter finale was... divisive. A lumberjack? Really? So, New Blood was supposed to fix things.

It gave us a proper ending, right? Maybe. But the TV gods always have other plans.

Here's my take: New Blood should be a one-hit wonder. A beautiful, bloody goodbye. Stick a fork in it. It’s done!

I know, I know. Some of you crave more. You want to see Harrison Morgan carrying the dark passenger. But hear me out.

Isn't it better to leave them wanting more? Instead of dragging it out? Risking another, potentially awful, ending?

Okay, I get the appeal. A teenage killer trying to navigate high school? That's a premise! But is it Dexter?

Dexter was about Dexter Morgan. His code. His internal struggles. It was his show, darn it!

Can Harrison really carry that torch? Maybe. But I'm skeptical.

Remember the law of diminishing returns? The more you milk a cow, the less milk you get. Same with TV shows.

Each season risks jumping the shark. Turning into a parody of itself. Let's avoid that, shall we?

Besides, New Blood wrapped things up pretty neatly. Dexter is, well, no more. Let him rest.

Of course, networks love money. If New Blood got good ratings (which it did), they'll explore any possibility for more.

Spin-offs, prequels, sequels... anything is fair game. Except maybe a musical episode. Please, no.

But just because they can make more, doesn't mean they should.

I'm rooting for zero more seasons of Dexter: New Blood. Let it be a satisfying, albeit bittersweet, conclusion.

Let Dexter Morgan's story end. And let Harrison find his own path, hopefully one that doesn't involve too much bloodshed.
