How Many Seasons To Seven Deadly Sins

Seven Deadly Sins: A TV Guide to Vice
Okay, let's talk Seven Deadly Sins. Great anime, right? But how many seasons should it have had? This is where things get interesting, and maybe a little controversial.
The Obvious Seven
Seven sins. Seven main characters. It practically writes itself, doesn't it? One season for each sin? Seems logical.
Think about it: Season 1 introduces Meliodas and the gang. We get the basics. Season 2 could delve deeper into Diane's envy. Each sin gets its time to shine (or... sin?).
Must Read
But did we really need all those extra episodes? All that filler? Did the plot really need to get so convoluted?
My (Unpopular) Opinion
Here's where I risk the wrath of the Seven Deadly Sins fandom. Buckle up.
I think four seasons would have been perfect. Hear me out!

Season 1: Introduction, basic plot, some sin-focused episodes. Season 2: Dive deeper into individual sins, starting with Diane and King. Season 3: The big bad emerges, epic battles begin. Season 4: Resolution, emotional goodbyes, everyone learns a valuable lesson.
Bam! Done. No unnecessary stretching, no confusing power-ups, just solid storytelling.
But What About...?
I know, I know! You're saying, "But what about all the other characters? The side plots? The power creep?"

Those are all valid points. But good storytelling isn't about cramming everything in. It's about editing, streamlining, and focusing on what matters.
Plus, let's be honest. After a while, the power levels got a little ridiculous. Every villain was stronger than the last. It became hard to care. It's as if they are repeating the same arcs over and over again.
The Filler Fatigue
I think most of us can agree that some anime suffer from "filler fatigue." Too many side stories, too many drawn-out battles, not enough actual plot progression.
Seven Deadly Sins, while enjoyable, definitely had its moments of this. It felt like they were trying to milk the story for all it was worth.

And I get it! Popular anime make money. But sometimes, less is more. A shorter, more focused series can leave a bigger impact.
The Ending (Don't @ Me)
Speaking of impact... the ending. Let's just say it wasn't everyone's cup of tea.
A tighter, more concise story might have led to a more satisfying conclusion. Just a thought.

Maybe, just maybe, reducing the number of seasons would have forced the writers to be more creative. To focus on character development and meaningful plot twists. To give us an ending we could all cheer about (or at least tolerate).
The Verdict
So, how many seasons should Seven Deadly Sins have had? In my humble (and possibly wrong) opinion, four. Maybe five, tops.
It would have been a tighter, more focused story. Less filler, more thrills. A true testament to the power of (seven) sins.
But hey, that's just my take. What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments (but please be nice!).
