How Many Seasons Of The Great On Hulu

Okay, let's talk about The Great. That show on Hulu about Catherine? Yeah, that one.
How many seasons are there? Two? Three? More?
The Official Answer (and Why It's Wrong)
Officially, there are three seasons of The Great on Hulu. That's what the internet says. That's what Hulu itself probably proclaims.
Must Read
But, and this is a big but…does it feel like three complete seasons?
I'm just saying, seasons one and two were chef's kiss. Pure chaotic, historical (ish) brilliance.
Here's My Hot Take (Brace Yourselves)
Season three? Well…it exists.
Look, I'm not saying it was bad. But it definitely felt…different. Like someone replaced the champagne with sparkling water.

Maybe it's just me. Maybe I was expecting too much after those first two bangers.
"Expectation is the root of all heartache." - William Shakespeare (probably misquoted)
Whatever the reason, season three felt…incomplete. Like half a season stretched out to a full one.
So, in my humble, possibly unpopular opinion, The Great only has two real seasons.
The Argument for Two (and a Bit) Seasons
Think about it. Seasons one and two had a clear narrative arc. Catherine trying to…well, take over Russia.

There was scheming, plotting, ridiculous outfits, and Nicholas Hoult being utterly fantastic.
Season three? It felt like a bunch of loose ends tied together with some really pretty ribbons.
The humor was still there, but it was…muted. The stakes felt lower. Like Catherine was more concerned about interior decorating than overthrowing a country.
Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But you get my point, right?

Maybe It's Just Me Missing Peter (Major Spoiler Alert!)
Let's be honest. Part of the reason season three felt off was because someone wasn't around anymore.
Nicholas Hoult’s Peter added so much manic energy to the show. His absence definitely left a void.
I know, I know, stories evolve. Characters leave. But Peter was the vodka to Catherine's ambition. The chaotic counterpoint to her (slightly less chaotic) reign.
Without him, the show just felt…less tipsy.

The Verdict: It's Complicated (Like Russian History)
So, how many seasons of The Great are there on Hulu?
The answer is…it depends. Officially, three. In my heart? Two glorious, perfectly executed seasons. And then…some bonus content.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still watch anything Elle Fanning is in. She's a queen.
But sometimes, less is more. Maybe The Great should have stopped while it was ahead. Before the sparkling water replaced the champagne.
What do you think? Am I completely off base? Let me know! (But be nice. I'm sensitive.)
