The show thrives on its mysteries. Fresh murders, new suspects, crazy theories!
But how many murders can one apartment building handle? Seriously!
At some point, the Arconia’s gotta be condemned, right? Or become a tourist trap.
Picture it: "Come see the crime scene! Maybe you'll be next!"
Character Growth (or Lack Thereof)
We adore Mabel, Charles, and Oliver. But character development needs time to breathe.
Do we want them solving murders forever? Or finding some semblance of peace?
Maybe Mabel becomes a famous artist. Charles finally gets his acting career back on track. Oliver directs a Broadway smash!
That's a satisfying ending. Not another body in the laundry room.
The Guest Stars!
Only Murders has had incredible guest stars. Tina Fey! Sting! Meryl Streep!
They're all amazing. But guest stars can't carry a show alone.
And let's be real. It's hard to top Meryl Streep singing show tunes.
Keeping It Fresh
The writers are brilliant. I have no doubt they could keep the show going for ten seasons.
But should they? Sometimes, less is more. A shorter run allows for tighter storytelling.
It avoids the dreaded shark-jumping moment. You know, that moment when you think, "Okay, this is ridiculous."
A Perfect Ending
Imagine a final season. The trio solves one last, epic mystery.
They say goodbye to the Arconia (maybe it does get condemned!). They ride off into the sunset.
