How Many Seasons Of Brooklyn Nine Nine Are There

Alright, folks, let's talk about something important. Something that affects us all. I'm talking, of course, about Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Specifically, how many seasons are there? The official answer is eight. But is that really the whole story?
The "Official" Number: Eight Seasons
Yes, I know. Wikipedia says eight. NBC and Peacock say eight. Everyone says eight. But hear me out.
Must Read
Eight seasons sounds nice and tidy. It's a respectable run for any sitcom. Except... I have an unpopular opinion.
I think Brooklyn Nine-Nine actually has seven perfect seasons. With a bonus, slightly-off, maybe-shouldn't-have-happened eighth one.
Season Eight: The Aftertaste
Don't get me wrong. I still watched Season Eight. I mean, come on! It's Brooklyn Nine-Nine!
But did it have the same spark? The same goofy charm? The same ridiculously high laugh-per-minute ratio? I'm not so sure.

The Real Ending?
Maybe the perfect ending was Season Seven. Think about it!
Jake and Amy have a baby! It’s adorable. Everyone is happy. End scene!
It felt like a natural conclusion. A satisfying full stop. Like a perfectly frosted donut. Why add sprinkles that kinda taste weird?
The Cast: Forever Nine-Nine
The cast, though? They're still amazing. Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta is comedic gold.

And Andre Braugher as Captain Holt? A legendary performance. No one can deliver deadpan like him.
Let's not forget Melissa Fumero, Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, and Chelsea Peretti.
Each actor is amazing! They brought so much humor to our homes every week. I love them.
Rewatchability Factor
Here's the thing about Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It's endlessly rewatchable.

I’ve probably watched seasons 1-7 at least five times each. Each episode is so well-crafted.
But Season Eight? I've watched it once. Maybe twice. It doesn't quite have the same pull.
So, How Many Seasons?
Okay, okay. I know. There are eight seasons. Technically. On paper.
But in my heart? There are seven glorious, hilarious seasons. And one final season that's...there.

Call me crazy. Call me a heretic. But I stand by my opinion. The show peaked earlier.
Ultimately, it's up to you. You decide how many seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine truly exist.
But maybe, just maybe, pretend it ended after Season Seven. Your brain will thank you.
And who knows? Maybe my unpopular opinion...isn’t that unpopular after all? Maybe I'm on to something!
Nine-Nine!
Okay I'm done. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
