How Many Seasons Are In The Sons Of Anarchy

So, How Many Seasons of Sons of Anarchy Are REALLY There?
Okay, let's talk Sons of Anarchy. We all know and (maybe) love it.
The official answer? Seven. Seven glorious, motorcycle-riding seasons.
But here's my unpopular opinion. Don't @ me!

Hear Me Out!
I think we can all agree that some seasons are better than others. Season 1? Solid gold.
Later seasons? Well, let's just say the plot got... complicated. Like, really complicated.
Did some characters make questionable choices? You bet!
Seriously, did Jax Teller lose his mind? Asking for a friend.

The Great Divide
Here's where my controversial take comes in. I believe the show changed drastically after a certain point.
It's like the writers ran out of ideas for realistic motorcycle club drama.
Suddenly, it was all about elaborate revenge plots and betrayals that stretched the imagination. Cue eye roll!
Remember the Irish Kings? Or the Lin Triad? It felt like they just kept adding more and more factions.

It became hard to keep track of who was double-crossing whom. Was I the only one?
My "Unpopular" Opinion: Fewer Seasons, More Impact
So, here it is: Sons of Anarchy should have ended sooner. Maybe after five seasons.
That's right, I said it! ducks for cover
Think about it. They could have tightened up the story. They could have given us a more satisfying conclusion.

Instead, we got dragged through a series of increasingly unbelievable storylines. The shock value went up, but the emotional impact went down.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the commitment to a long-running series. But sometimes, less is more. raises eyebrows
The "True" Season Count?
For me, the "real" Sons of Anarchy ended somewhere around season five.
Everything after that felt like a different show entirely. A show with the same characters, but a totally different vibe.

Call it Sons of Anarchy: The Revenge Years.
Is that just me? Maybe. But I suspect some of you are secretly nodding along.
We still love the show for what it was. Especially Gemma Teller. What a character. But maybe, just maybe, it overstayed its welcome.
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Maybe the last few seasons of SoA were a bit lost.
So, officially? Seven seasons. In my heart? Five. The end.
