How Many Power Spin Offs Will There Be

Okay, let's be real. How many Power spin-offs is too many? Is there even a limit?
The Power-verse: Expanding... Forever?
It feels like every time I blink, there's another teaser. Another intense stare-down. Another reason to subscribe to STARZ.
We started with Power. Then came Power Book II: Ghost. Now we've got Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force. It's a lot to keep track of!
Must Read
Is creator Courtney A. Kemp secretly building a Power-themed amusement park? Like, you ride the "Ghost" rollercoaster and eat "Raising Kanan" cotton candy?
My (Possibly Unpopular) Opinion
Don't get me wrong, I love the drama. I enjoy the twists. But... is it starting to feel a bit diluted?
I'm getting flashbacks to all those Law & Order spin-offs. Remember Law & Order: Criminal Intent? Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (still going strong, bless it!). Where does it end?

I fear the Power-verse is heading down the same path. Soon we will have Power: Book V: The Janitor's Story, I am pretty sure.
Will we have a show about the random people that Tariq scams in college? What about a show about Tommy's dog?
Okay, maybe the dog show would be pretty good. I'd watch that.

The Danger of Over-Saturation
The problem with too many spin-offs is simple. They can start to feel repetitive. The stakes get lower.
Remember the thrill of the original Power? The intricate web of lies? The constant threat of death?
Now, it feels like someone's always about to betray someone. Which, granted, is kind of the point. But still!
"With great power, comes great responsibility... and a whole lot of spin-offs." - Someone on the internet (probably)
I worry the writers will run out of fresh ideas. They might start rehashing storylines. That's when things get messy.

Imagine a crossover episode so convoluted it requires a flowchart to understand. My brain hurts just thinking about it.
So, How Many is Too Many?
Honestly, I don't know. Maybe there's no limit! Maybe the Power universe can expand infinitely, like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But I suspect there will be a tipping point. A moment when viewers say, "Enough is enough!"

I just hope it doesn't come before we get that Tommy's dog spin-off. I'm serious about that one.
Until then, I will continue to tune in. I'll scream at the TV. And I will secretly hope that Ghost makes a cameo as a hologram... or something.
Who knows, maybe I'll even write my own Power spin-off. Working title: Power: Book VI: The Accountants. Starring Tariq's long lost cousin who just really likes numbers.
Don't steal my idea!
