How Many Episodes Season 5 This Is Us

So, How Many Episodes Was Season 5 of This Is Us?
Okay, let's get straight to it. This Is Us. We love it, we cry, we need a support group after every episode. But remember Season 5?
How many episodes were there, anyway? It felt like it lasted forever, didn't it? Or maybe that was just 2020 doing its thing.
The Official Number: Not Enough (Just Kidding… Sort Of)
Technically, there were 16 episodes in Season 5. Sixteen! Sounds like a lot, right? But did it feel like enough? I'm not so sure.
Must Read
Maybe it's just me, but I think we needed more. More Pearson family drama! More flashbacks that make us ugly cry! More Randall figuring things out!
I wanted to wallow a bit more. More Jack and Rebecca moments. Is that too much to ask?
My Unpopular Opinion: Season 5 Needed to Be Longer
Here's where I might lose some of you. I think Season 5 could have benefitted from a few extra episodes. Hear me out!

With all the storylines happening – Kevin's twins, Randall's family history, Kate's past – 16 episodes just felt…rushed. We got a lot, but could we have gotten more?
I'm not saying add filler. But maybe explore some storylines a little deeper? Let's really dive into those complex family dynamics.
Don't Hate Me, But...
Look, I know the writers and actors probably worked their tails off. I appreciate the effort, truly.

And I know some people thought Season 5 was already long enough. They were ready for it to be over.
But to them I say this: more Milo Ventimiglia can never hurt anyone.
Was It Worth It? Absolutely!
Okay, even though I'm complaining about the length, let's be real. This Is Us Season 5 was still amazing.
It brought us joy, tears, and a whole lot of feelings. Plus, it set the stage for the final season, which we all eagerly (and nervously) anticipated.

Those sixteen episodes gave us some truly memorable moments. Who could forget Randall's journey or Kevin becoming a dad?
So, What's the Verdict?
Ultimately, whether you think Season 5 was too short, too long, or just right is a matter of personal opinion.
But one thing we can all agree on: This Is Us knew how to get us invested. We felt like we were part of the Pearson family.

And even if I secretly wanted more episodes, I'm grateful for the ones we got. Thanks, Dan Fogelman and team!
Let's Debate!
So, did you think Season 5 was the perfect length? Or are you on Team "Give Me More Pearson Family Drama"? Let's hear it in the comments!
No matter what, let's all agree to keep some tissues handy. Because with This Is Us, you never know when the waterworks will start.
And remember: family is everything. Even the fictional ones on TV.
