Right now, each season clocks in at six episodes. That feels… fine. Not amazing, but fine. But is it enough?

Why More Episodes, Though?

Think about it. Each season introduces a whole new cast of delightfully awful people. We need time to truly hate them.

Six episodes sometimes feels rushed. We barely scratch the surface of their dysfunction before the dramatic finale hits.

More episodes mean more time for awkward dinners, questionable decisions, and passive-aggressive poolside conversations. And isn't that why we watch The White Lotus anyway?

Imagine The Possibilities

Imagine a season with, say, eight or even ten episodes. We could delve deeper into each character’s backstory.

Think of the additional subplots! More opportunities for affairs, betrayals, and truly bizarre hotel activities.

We could even introduce a recurring character throughout the season, someone who observes all the madness. Like a super-observant bartender. That would be epic!

But What About Pacing?

Some might argue that more episodes would ruin the pacing. That it would become bloated and boring. To them, I say… trust Mike White!

The man is a genius. He can handle more screen time. He can make us care about characters we actively dislike. (That's talent!)

He could fill extra episodes with incredible character moments and stunning scenery. He’s Mike White, after all!

Let's Be Real: We're Addicted

Come on, admit it. You binge-watched both seasons, right? You were hooked from the opening credits.

You’d gladly watch another season with the same number of episodes. But wouldn’t you love more?

More drama. More scenery. More questionable fashion choices. More Jennifer Coolidge (we can always use more Jennifer Coolidge).

My Plea to HBO (and Mike White)

So, HBO, Mike White, are you listening? Give the people what they want! (Well, I want it, anyway.)

Give us a super-sized season of The White Lotus. Let's aim for a solid eight episodes of pure, unadulterated chaos.

I promise, we'll all be better (or at least more entertained) for it. Think of the water cooler conversations!

The Verdict? More Is More.

Ultimately, while six episodes of The White Lotus are good, more would be better. More drama, more laughs, more awkwardness. All the things that make the show great.
