How Many Episodes Of The Righteous Gemstones Season 2

Okay, let's talk about The Righteous Gemstones. Specifically, Season 2. Did you watch it? Of course, you did! But do you remember how many episodes there were?

The Big Question: How Many?

We all binged it, right? The Gemstones' shenanigans are hard to resist. But amidst the wrestling, the greed, and the general ridiculousness, the episode count might have slipped your mind.

So, the answer is... nine episodes. Nine glorious episodes of the Gemstone family being completely bonkers. But here's where my unpopular opinion comes in.

Unpopular Opinion Alert!

I think Season 2 could have been shorter. Gasp! I know, I know. More Gemstones is usually better.

But hear me out. Some of the plotlines felt a little... stretched. Like they were adding filler. Did we really need all those flashbacks?

Did it Drag On?

Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing Young Eli. He was adorably intense. But did it fully advance the story? Maybe not.

Sometimes, less is more. A tighter, more focused season might have been even better. Imagine, seven episodes of pure, uncut Gemstone craziness.

Think of it like a really good piece of cake. The first few bites are amazing. But eventually, you get full. You don't want to ruin the deliciousness by overdoing it.

The Beauty of a Shorter Season

A shorter season could have made each episode feel more impactful. Every joke would land harder. Every dramatic moment would sting more.

Plus, think of the suspense! If the season was shorter, every scene would have to be crucial. We wouldn't have time to breathe between twists and turns.

Imagine a quicker pace, like Baby Billy running from his problems. Just non-stop action and hilarious family dysfunction.

Still Loved It (Mostly)

Even with my unpopular opinion, I enjoyed Season 2 of The Righteous Gemstones. The cast is amazing. The writing is sharp.

I especially loved the introduction of the Montgomery family. They were the perfect foil for the Gemstones. Their arrival injected some fresh energy into the show.

But, I can't help but wonder "what if?". What if the season was just a little bit leaner? A little bit meaner?

What About Season 3?

Season 3 is here! I'm already glued to my screen, waiting to see what trouble the Gemstones get into next. Hopefully, it has a perfect number of episodes.

I still want nine, don't get me wrong. I'm a hypocrite. I just hope it's a tighter, more focused nine.

Maybe they'll take my (unsolicited) advice. Or maybe they'll just keep doing their thing. Either way, I'll be watching. With popcorn, of course.
