How Many Episodes Of The Old Man In Season 1

Okay, let's talk about The Old Man. Specifically, Season 1. Did it leave you wanting more?

We all love a good thriller. Especially one with Jeff Bridges kicking butt. But how many episodes did we actually get?

Seven Episodes? Really?

That’s right. Season 1 of The Old Man clocks in at just seven episodes. Seven! Does that feel... short to anyone else?

I mean, the plot thickens so nicely. Then boom! It's over. I felt a little cheated, if I'm being honest.

Here comes my potentially controversial take. Seven episodes just isn’t enough for this story. There, I said it.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed every single minute. It just felt like we were getting started when it wrapped up.

Think about it. We have Dan Chase, a former CIA operative on the run. He's got a past that keeps coming back to haunt him.

And Angela Adams, played by the amazing Alia Shawkat. She is caught in the middle of everything.

Seven episodes feels rushed. We barely scratch the surface of these complex characters. Don't you think?

The flashbacks were fantastic. But more time delving into Chase's history would have been great.

Imagine having ten episodes. More breathing room for the plot to unfold. More opportunities to explore the relationships.

Even twelve! Think of the possibilities! It would be amazing, wouldn't it?

I’m not saying the writing was bad. It was sharp and engaging. But maybe they were trying to cram too much into too little space.

It’s like trying to fit a king-size bed into a twin-size room. Something's gotta give. And in this case, it was episode count.

Maybe it was a budget thing? Or maybe they wanted to leave us wanting more. If so, mission accomplished!

Ultimately, I just wanted more time with these characters. More twists and turns in this gripping story.

Seven episodes were good. Great, even! But more would have been phenomenal. Seriously!

I know streaming services love the six-to-eight episode format. But some stories need a little more room to breathe.

Hopefully, Season 2 will give us a few extra episodes. So we can really sink our teeth into the narrative.

Because let’s be real. We all want more Jeff Bridges being awesome. Right?
