I think Spy x Family should have a finite number of episodes. There, I said it. Don't get me wrong, I love the Forgers. But even the best things can overstay their welcome, right?
Think about it. A tight, well-paced story. A satisfying conclusion. Wouldn't that be amazing? Imagine a perfectly crafted ending, leaving us wanting more, but content.
Instead of dragging on, let's see the main story arcs get wrapped up nicely. Operation Strix needs a conclusion, Loid needs to find peace, and Anya... well, Anya needs all the peanuts. And a dog. She already has one. Make that more dogs! (I'm getting side-tracked).
The Ideal Episode Count
So, what's the magic number? I'm thinking somewhere between 50 and 75 episodes. This feels like enough time to explore the characters. Also enough time to develop the plot. But not too much to feel diluted.
Plus, a shorter run leaves room for OVAs and movies! We could get extra doses of Forger family fluff without bloating the main storyline. More Yor action sequences? Yes, please!
Imagine a series of films exploring individual character backstories. Or maybe standalone missions that don't directly impact Operation Strix. The possibilities are endless!
