And the constant flashbacks? Those could be their own mini-series. Add in some singing, and it feels eternal.

Here’s my theory. The writers secretly have a time machine. They cram 1.5 episodes worth of content into each slot.

It's the only logical explanation for why I feel like I aged ten years watching Season 2. In the best way possible, of course.

But did it feel like enough? Absolutely not. I could watch the Gemstones stumble through life for nine seasons, not just nine episodes.

I'd watch a spin-off of Keefe just trying to navigate a grocery store. That's how invested I am.

Re-Watching is Mandatory

So, nine episodes it is. But honestly, you should watch them again. Slow down. Savor the awkwardness.

Maybe then you'll feel the full weight of the Gemstone experience. And maybe you'll finally understand what's going on with Eli's past.
