There, I said it! I wanted something... different. Maybe more explosions? (Just kidding... mostly.)

Don't get me wrong, the acting was great, especially Michael C. Hall. But the conclusion just felt... rushed.

Did Dexter really need a reboot? That's the million-dollar question. The original ending, while controversial, had a certain finality.

Ah, Harrison. Dexter's son. He's got some serious baggage.

His character arc was interesting, but I still feel like they could have done more with him. More teenage angst, maybe?

The Setting: Iron Lake

Trading Miami for Iron Lake was a bold move. A snowy, small town gives a creepy atmosphere.

It added a new dimension to Dexter's isolation. Hiding in plain sight is way harder in a place like that.

Plus, all that snow just screams "murder scene!" (Okay, maybe it's just me again.)

Final Thoughts (And Maybe Another Unpopular Opinion)

Dexter: New Blood was…fine. Not amazing, not terrible, just...fine. It had its moments, for sure.

And I appreciate the effort to revisit a beloved character. But sometimes, things are best left in the past.
