How Many Episodes Of Db Super Are There

Okay, let's talk Dragon Ball Super. You know, the series that brought back Goku and the gang after all those years. But more importantly, how many episodes are we talking about here?
The answer? 131 episodes. Yep, that's the magic number.
Is That Enough Dragon Ball? (Unpopular Opinion Alert!)
Now, 131 episodes sounds like a lot, right? It's enough to keep you busy for a while. But here's my totally-not-shared-by-everyone opinion: it wasn't quite enough.
Must Read
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Dragon Ball Super. But sometimes, it felt a little rushed. Like they were trying to cram too much into too few episodes.
Remember the Tournament of Power? Awesome concept, epic battles, but... did everyone really get their moment to shine? I'm not so sure.
Filler, Filler, Wherefore Art Thou Filler?
Now, I know what you're thinking: "But more episodes means more filler!" And yeah, filler can be annoying.

But hear me out! Good filler can be GOLDEN. Think about the funny, light-hearted episodes. The ones where the characters just chill and do everyday stuff.
We needed more of that! More slice-of-life moments with the Z fighters. Imagine Goku trying to cook a fancy meal or Vegeta begrudgingly attending a PTA meeting. Comedy gold, I tell ya!
Instead, we got a plot that barrelled forward at warp speed. Leaving some characters feeling a bit underdeveloped.
Rehashing Old Ground
Let's be honest, some arcs felt like retreads. Another powerful enemy shows up. Goku has to get stronger. Rinse and repeat.

More episodes could have allowed for more creative storylines. Maybe exploring different genres or focusing on lesser-known characters.
What about a detective arc starring Piccolo? Or a cooking competition featuring Krillin's amazing culinary skills (okay, maybe I'm stretching it with that last one).
The Animation... Oh, The Animation
We can't talk about Dragon Ball Super without mentioning the animation. Let's just say it was... inconsistent at times.
Some episodes looked amazing. Others? Well, let's just say they spawned a thousand memes. (Poor Vegeta!)

More time and budget, which could come with a longer episode count, might have helped improve the overall animation quality. Just saying.
Of course, Toei Animation did improved after the initial episodes.
So, What's the Verdict?
Dragon Ball Super is a fun ride. It had amazing moments and expanded the Dragon Ball universe.
But with only 131 episodes, it felt like it could have been even better. More breathing room, more character development, more ridiculous filler.

Ultimately, it is a decent show, but not perfect.
Maybe that's just me. Maybe I'm just greedy for more Dragon Ball. But hey, a guy can dream, right?
Until the next series, I'll be here, rewatching the old episodes and hoping for more!
Bring on the next Dragon Ball adventure!
