Okay, okay, I'll admit it. I'll still tune in to Coronation Street next week. I am a sucker for the drama.
But I still think there's a valid point to be made. More isn't always better. Maybe a little trimming could do wonders.
Perhaps the writers could concentrate on delivering storylines that are fresh, exciting and a little more believable. I am looking at you Stephen Reid.
Imagine if every episode was as gripping as the tram crash. Now that was television gold!
So, while I appreciate the sheer volume of Coronation Street, I secretly wish for a slightly leaner, meaner version. A version that respects my time and attention span.
And maybe, just maybe, a version where Audrey Roberts finally gets a decent storyline!
