How Many Episodes Of American Horror Story 2021

Okay, let's talk American Horror Story. Specifically, AHS: Double Feature from 2021.
Remember that season? The one with aliens and vampires? Wild times.
So, How Many Episodes Are We Talking?
The official count? Ten. Five for "Red Tide," five for "Death Valley."
Must Read
But here's my hot take. And maybe I'm alone here. But hear me out.
Ten Episodes? Or...Two Mini-Seasons?
I honestly think of Double Feature as two separate, shorter seasons. Two distinct stories. Two different vibes.
It's like they gave us American Horror Story: Cape Cod Vampire Vacation and American Horror Story: Area 51 Conspiracy.
Am I wrong? Maybe. But I’m sticking to it.

Each half felt so contained. So complete. Almost like watching two different shows that just happened to share a title card.
It felt less like a cohesive season and more like a double bill. Think of it as a scary movie marathon!
The "Red Tide" Divide
"Red Tide" started strong. Really strong. We had Finn Wittrock serving tortured artist realness.
And those pale creatures lurking in Provincetown? Truly terrifying.

Then... well, things got a little…messy. Did it fulfill its premise? Debatable!
The "Death Valley" Debacle
Then came "Death Valley." Black and white flashbacks? Aliens? A presidential conspiracy?
It felt like a completely different show. It just did. The tone was completely different than "Red Tide."
Did the two halves even connect in a meaningful way? That's something to argue about with friends.
My Unpopular Opinion: Two Seasons, Not One
So, while officially it's ten episodes, my brain refuses to accept it.

For me, it's five episodes of a coastal horror drama and five episodes of a sci-fi thriller.
Maybe if they had tied the two stories together more seamlessly, I'd feel differently. But they didn't!
Ryan Murphy, I love you. But Double Feature felt... disjointed.
Look, I still enjoyed parts of it. I'm a sucker for horror, even when it's a little uneven.

But I can't help but feel like they missed an opportunity to create something truly special.
So, What's the Verdict?
Ten episodes. Officially. But in my heart? Two separate seasons.
Judge me if you must. But someone had to say it.
Anyone else feel the same? Or am I shouting into the void?
Tell me your thoughts! Let's discuss in the comments. Maybe I'm crazy after all.
