How Many Episodes In The Fall Season 1
Okay, let's talk about The Fall. Specifically, season one. And even more specifically… how many episodes, right?
It's a simple question. But sometimes simple questions have… not-so-simple answers. Or at least, answers that make you go, "Wait, that's it?"
The Official Answer (Which Might Surprise You)
So, officially, The Fall Season 1 has… five episodes. Yep, just five. I know, I was surprised too.
Must Read
It feels like a much longer season, doesn't it? Maybe it's because each episode is packed with suspense.
Or maybe it's because Gillian Anderson is so captivating as Stella Gibson. She commands your attention, even when she's just... existing.
My (Possibly Unpopular) Opinion
Here’s where my unpopular opinion comes in: Five episodes just isn't enough! I mean, come on!
We're just getting into the creepy mind of Jamie Dornan's Paul Spector. And then BAM! Season over.

It’s like eating one delicious cookie. You crave the whole batch! It’s criminal, I tell you.
Why Five Feels Like So Little
Think about it. You have the introduction of Stella Gibson.
You have the terrifying unfolding of Paul Spector's double life. The police investigation is also developing.
And all that tension brewing between everyone involved. Five episodes to cram all that in? It's ambitious!

Every scene is carefully constructed. And the acting is top-notch. But still, more episodes would have been nice.
Was it the Right Choice?
Okay, objectively… maybe five episodes were perfect. It’s tight. It's focused.
It avoids unnecessary filler. No meandering subplots that go nowhere. The Fall gets straight to the point.
But, and it’s a big but, I wanted to wallow in that atmospheric dread a little longer! I wanted to analyze every sideways glance Stella Gibson gave.
I guess that's what replays are for, right? Binging it again and again until the credits roll, and I am left wanting more.

The Cliffhanger Effect
Season one ends on a cliffhanger, naturally. Because what's a good crime drama without one?
It’s a perfect way to ensure you come back for season two. They got me, hook, line, and sinker.
I immediately had to watch the next season. I needed answers!
So, while I maintain that five episodes is a touch on the short side. I do acknowledge its effectiveness. It's quality over quantity after all.

Final Thoughts (and a Tiny Rant)
So, yes, The Fall Season 1 has five episodes. Now you know. Spread the word.
But if anyone is listening, please tell the showrunners that some of us (me) would have happily watched ten. Or twenty!
I just really wanted more Stella Gibson in my life. Is that too much to ask?
Maybe I am being greedy. But honestly, can you blame me? Gillian Anderson delivers! I'm sure you agree!
Alright, rant over. Now, excuse me while I go re-watch those five (too few) episodes. Again.
