How Many Episodes In The Entertainment District Arc

Okay, let's talk Demon Slayer. Specifically, the Entertainment District Arc. And, more specifically, how many episodes it actually needed.
The Official Count: Eleven
Yes, officially, the Entertainment District Arc clocks in at a solid eleven episodes. That's what everyone says. That's what the internet screams at you if you dare question it.
Eleven episodes filled with flashy visuals. Eleven episodes of Tengen Uzui being, well, Tengen Uzui. Eleven episodes of near-constant fighting.
Must Read
But Here's My Unpopular Opinion...
I think it could have been shorter.
Don't get me wrong, I love Demon Slayer. I adore the characters. The animation is gorgeous. But did we really need eleven episodes to tell this particular story?
Hear me out! The fights were amazing. Seeing Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke grow? Fantastic! But some parts felt stretched. Like they were adding fluff to reach that eleven-episode mark.

It's like when you order a large pizza and realize you only needed a medium. You still eat it, because pizza. But you feel slightly bloated and question your choices.
I’m not saying it was bad. Far from it. But streamlining it could have made it even better.
Where Could We Trim the Fat?
Maybe fewer drawn-out fight sequences? Less time spent with the bad guy monologuing about their sad backstory? (We get it, you had a tough childhood!)
Perhaps condensing some of the reconnaissance missions? Let's be honest, how many times did they get spotted sneaking around the district?

We could have shaved off a couple episodes without sacrificing the core story. A more concise narrative, a tighter pace... chef's kiss!
The Ideal Episode Count (In My Humble Opinion)
Seven. Maybe eight. Seven or eight really tight, action-packed episodes.
Think about it! You could still have all the important character moments. You could still showcase the incredible animation. But with a faster, more engaging rhythm.
Imagine the impact! Each episode would feel crucial, every moment precious. No room for filler, just pure, unadulterated Demon Slayer goodness.

The Backlash I'm Prepared For
I know, I know. I'm probably going to get crucified for this. The Demon Slayer fandom is passionate (and rightfully so!).
People love the Entertainment District Arc exactly as it is. They cherish every single frame, every dramatic pause, every overly dramatic scream.
And that's totally valid! But sometimes, more isn't always better.
I just think a slightly leaner, meaner version of the arc could have been a masterpiece. Instead of just a really, really good anime season.

So, What's Your Take?
Am I completely off base? Or do you secretly agree that the Entertainment District Arc could have been a little shorter?
Let me know in the comments (if you dare!). I'm ready for the onslaught of "You're wrong!" messages.
But hey, at least we're talking about Demon Slayer. And that's always a good thing, right?
Just remember, this is all my opinion. I still love Demon Slayer. And I'm still hyped for whatever comes next!
