They could have explored Lauren Heller's life more. She was hilarious, and such a loyal friend. She deserved her own subplot!

Perhaps show more of Maggie Amato's art career? Give her more story line with her girlfriend. Explore the challenges of being a successful artist in NYC.

Even a few extra minutes per episode would have helped. Just to let the scenes breathe. To let the emotions sink in.
