Eight episodes feels like a standard season length, doesn’t it? But with Killing Eve, it never feels like quite enough. Especially when the quality…fluctuated.

Villanelle's Style, Always On Point

One thing that never wavered? Villanelle's outfits. Seriously, she could wear a garbage bag and still look chic.

Her apartment in Season 3 was goals. Can we just talk about her style? I just wanted to emulate her, even if I can't pull it off.

And then there's Eve. Always drawn back in, like a moth to a very dangerous, very stylish flame.

Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. Ready? I think Season 3 was the weakest of the three.

Gasp! I know, I know. Hear me out. It just didn't quite capture the magic of the first two seasons.

The writing felt a little…off. The plot felt a little…convoluted. And some of the new characters? Totally forgettable.

The Bridge Scene: A Moment of Truth

But! There were still moments of brilliance. That bridge scene? Iconic.

The tension was palpable. The acting was superb. It reminded us why we fell in love with this show in the first place.

That scene alone almost made up for the weaker episodes. Almost.

Where Did The Chemistry Go?

Part of the problem, I think, was the lack of Eve and Villanelle interaction. The chemistry between Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer is what makes the show sing.

When they're apart, the show loses something. It's like a cake without frosting. Still edible, but not nearly as satisfying.

More Episodes, Less Filler?

Maybe if Season 3 had been ten episodes, they could have fleshed things out more. Maybe they could have given us more time with Eve and Villanelle.

Or maybe, just maybe, they needed to streamline the plot. Less is sometimes more, right?

Looking Ahead

Regardless, I still watched all eight episodes of Season 3. Twice. Because I'm a glutton for punishment (and killer fashion).

And of course, I'm going to watch Season 4. Hope springs eternal. Maybe they'll recapture the magic.

Here's hoping for more Eve and Villanelle screen time. And maybe, just maybe, a plot that makes a little more sense.
