How Many Episodes Are There In Devils Line

So, How Many Bites Does Devils' Line Take?
Let's talk Devils' Line. A vampire romance with action? Yes, please! But figuring out how many episodes there actually are? That can be trickier than dodging a silver stake.
Officially, season one clocked in at 12 episodes. Twelve weeks of Anzai being broody and Tsukasa being...well, Tsukasa. But wait, there's more (sort of!).
The OVA: An Extra Bite (or Two?)
We also got an OVA episode, episode 13. Think of it as a tasty little dessert after the main course. It gives us a bit more Anzai and Tsukasa being cute.
Must Read
Some people don't count OVAs. I say, if it has vampires and angst, it counts! One episode or not!
The Great Season Two Debate
Now, the real question: where's season two? We all want more Devils' Line, right? More vampire drama, more relationship angst, more amazing fight scenes!

Sadly, as of right now, there is no second season. But who knows what the future holds!
My Unpopular Opinion: Devils' Line Needed More.
Okay, prepare yourselves. I think Devils' Line could have been amazing with more episodes. And not just one extra OVA! Give us at least 24 episodes per season.

Twelve episodes felt rushed. We barely scratched the surface of the world and its characters. Especially the side characters!
I wanted to see more of the CCC. Their crazy experiments and schemes were fascinating! More of that, please!
More Angst, More Action, More Everything!
Think about it. More time to develop Anzai and Tsukasa's relationship. More time to explore the vampire politics. More time for epic showdowns!

We could have seen Anzai struggle with his devil side even more. We could have watched Tsukasa grow stronger and more independent. The possibilities were endless!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed what we got. But I think Devils' Line had so much potential to be a truly great anime.

So, To Sum It Up...
Technically, there are 12 episodes and 1 OVA. In my heart, there should be at least double that number. That's the real truth here!
So, what do you think? Am I crazy for wanting more Devils' Line? Or do you agree that it deserved a longer run? Let me know!
Until season two hopefully gets announced, we'll just have to rewatch the existing episodes. And maybe write some fanfiction!
