How Many Episodes Are In Season 2 Of Demon Slayer

How Many Episodes Are In Season 2 Of Demon Slayer

Okay, let's talk Demon Slayer. Specifically, Season 2. Are we obsessed? Maybe a little. Let's be honest, who isn't?

The Big Question: Episode Count

So, how many episodes did we actually get in Season 2? Officially? It's eleven. But wait, there's a catch.

See, Season 2 was split into two arcs. We had the Mugen Train Arc, and then the Entertainment District Arc. Sneaky, right?

Mugen Train: A Familiar Journey

The Mugen Train Arc retold the movie. Kind of. It was like, seven episodes, right? But some people don't even count them.

Here's where my unpopular opinion comes in: I loved the Mugen Train episodes! Getting to relive the movie in bite-sized pieces? Perfection!

Sure, we saw it already. But the expanded scenes? The extra character development? It was worth it!

Entertainment District: Pure Action

Then we jumped into the Entertainment District Arc. This is where things got really wild. And flashy! Thanks, Tengen Uzui.

This arc gave us some of the best fight scenes EVER. Seriously, the animation was incredible. Those demon siblings were something else.

This arc was shorter though, around four episodes. But packed with action! Each one felt like a mini-movie itself.

So, Eleven... Or More?

So, back to the original question. Eleven official episodes. But if you count the Mugen Train Arc episodes that recap the movie? Suddenly, it feels like way more.

It's like getting bonus content! Who doesn't love bonus content? I definitely do!

It all comes down to how you want to count them. Purists will say eleven. But rewatchers like me might say more like eighteen! Or more! We don't judge!

The Great Debate: To Count or Not To Count?

I think it's silly not to count the Mugen Train Arc episodes. They added context and depth. Plus, Kyojuro Rengoku deserves all the screentime he can get!

He's a cinnamon roll who must be protected at all costs. Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic. But seriously, he's amazing.

Ultimately, it's up to you. Watch them all! Enjoy them all! That's the most important thing.

Season 3? Bring It On!

Regardless of how many episodes you think Season 2 had, one thing's for sure. We need more Demon Slayer!

Season 3 is on the way, and I am so ready! More demons, more sword fights, more feels. Let's go!

Until then, I'll be rewatching Season 2. Maybe counting those Mugen Train Arc episodes. Maybe not. Who knows?
