How Many Episodes Are In Season 10 American Horror Story

American Horror Story: Season 10 - Double the Horror, Half the Episodes?
Okay, let's talk about American Horror Story. Specifically, season 10, aka Double Feature. And even MORE specifically, how many darn episodes it had.
Did it feel short to you? It definitely felt short to me. Like, Blink and you'll miss it short.
So, spill the beans! How many episodes WERE there?
The grand total? A cool ten episodes. Yep, just ten. Spread across two mini-seasons.
Must Read
Part one, Red Tide, gave us six episodes. Part two, Death Valley, only gave us four. Is it just me, or does that seem...uneven?
I love Ryan Murphy. I really do. But ten episodes felt like a cruel joke. A stylish, scary joke...but a joke nonetheless.
Was it enough? (Spoiler alert: I don't think so.)
Look, AHS has had seasons of varying lengths. Some longer, some shorter. But this felt particularly truncated.
Remember the good old days? Like, twelve or thirteen episodes per season? Those were the days.

Red Tide had potential. Seriously. The idea of struggling writers and pale creatures? Gold!
But six episodes? It felt rushed. Characters were introduced, then poof, gone.
Maybe that's the point. Maybe life is just short and fleeting. Especially in a horror show.
Then there's Death Valley. Aliens? 1950s paranoia? Another recipe for success!
Four episodes? What even WAS that? So many questions, so few answers. I felt robbed.

Unpopular Opinion Time!
Okay, here it is. My super controversial, brace-yourself-for-the-backlash opinion:
Season 10 needed MORE episodes. Way more. Each half needed at least eight.
Eight episodes would have given Red Tide room to breathe. We could have explored the characters more deeply.
We could have actually CARED when they inevitably met their gruesome ends. Instead, it was like, "Oh, there goes another one. Who were they again?"
And Death Valley? Four episodes was a crime. A literal, punishable-by-watching-bad-horror-movies crime.

We needed more backstory. More alien lore. More Sarah Paulson being amazing in weird makeup. Is that too much to ask?
But hey, at least it was entertaining, right?
Don't get me wrong. I still enjoyed season 10. Even with its brevity.
The visuals were stunning. The acting was top-notch. The sheer absurdity was…well, classic AHS.
But it could have been SO MUCH MORE. Imagine the possibilities!

So, what's the takeaway?
Ten episodes. Double Feature. Two mini-seasons that left me wanting more. Much, much more.
Maybe Ryan Murphy will hear my plea. Maybe season 11 will be an epic, sprawling saga with twenty episodes.
Okay, probably not. But a girl can dream, right?
What do you think? Did ten episodes feel like enough to you? Or are you with me in wanting a longer, more fleshed-out season?
Let's discuss! Because if we don't, who will?
