So, you're wondering about Boruto episodes in 2022, huh? You're probably thinking the same thing as the rest of us.

Let's get right to it. Officially, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations graced our screens with around 35-ish episodes in 2022. Give or take an episode or two, depending on how you're counting.

But Is It Enough? (My Unpopular Opinion)

Here's where things get spicy. In my totally humble opinion, no! Thirty-something episodes just doesn't cut it.

I mean, we waited a whole week for each one! Sometimes, the plot felt like it was moving slower than a snail in molasses.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the episodes were fantastic! We got some cool fights and character development moments.

But, between those gems, there were... let's just say, filler-ish episodes. We've all been there, right?

The Filler Frustration: A Shared Experience

It's like, you're so hyped for the next big arc. Then BAM! You're watching Boruto catch a cat for an entire episode.

Look, I love cats. But I also love ninja battles and epic storylines! Is that too much to ask?

Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But you get my point. Sometimes it felt like we were treading water.

The Boruto Potential: So Much Untapped

Think about all the potential! The new generation of ninja are so interesting!

Sarada's Sharingan, Mitsuki's mysterious origins, Boruto's Karma… there's a goldmine of storylines there!

With more episodes, they could have really delved into those things. We could've gotten more depth, more action, more everything!

More Episodes: More Room for Character Growth

I'm not saying every episode needs to be a major plot point. But even smaller character-focused stories can be valuable.

Imagine more episodes exploring the friendships and rivalries within the new genin teams! Show us the day-to-day struggles of being a ninja.

That's the stuff that makes us really connect with the characters. It's what made the original Naruto so great.

The Great Hiatus of 2023

Now, we all know what happened after 2022, right? The Boruto anime went on hiatus in 2023. Big sad.

Maybe that was a good thing in the long run. Hopefully, the studio is using that time to plan out a more focused, less filler-y future for the series.

A Hopeful Future for Boruto

So, while 2022 gave us some Boruto episodes, was it enough? In my humble opinion, not even close.

Let's hope when Boruto returns, we get a whole lot more of the good stuff and a whole lot less of the filler.

Fingers crossed for a future filled with awesome ninja action and compelling storylines!

And maybe, just maybe, an episode or two where Boruto doesn't catch a cat. (Unless it's a super ninja cat.)
