Plus, think about the plot! Operation Strix is the main mission. How long can Loid realistically pretend to be a family man without achieving his goal?
Realistic Expectations
So, what's a reasonable episode count? I'm throwing out a number: around 50-75 episodes total. Across all seasons, that is.
That's enough time to wrap up Operation Strix, explore the characters' backstories, and give us plenty of hilarious moments. Plus, it prevents the show from becoming repetitive.
Think about other great anime. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is considered a masterpiece. It wrapped up its story in 64 episodes.
The Filler Factor
Long-running anime often suffer from filler episodes. We've all seen them. Episodes that add nothing to the main plot and feel like a waste of time.
