How Long Is The New Ghost Busters Movie

So, About That Ghostbusters Movie Length...
Okay, let's talk Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. We all went, we all saw the proton packs. But how long were we actually sitting there?
The reported runtime is 1 hour and 55 minutes. That's 115 minutes of busting ghosts and family drama. Seems reasonable, right?
Hold on a Slimer-Sized Second!
But here's where my potentially unpopular opinion comes in. I thought it felt... long.
Must Read
Maybe it was the pacing? Maybe it was the sheer amount of characters crammed in there. Or maybe, just maybe, I needed more popcorn.
Whatever it was, I kept glancing at my watch. Anyone else feel that way?
The Ghostbusters Legacy Effect
Look, I love the Ghostbusters franchise. I really do. I grew up quoting Peter Venkman.

And Ghostbusters: Afterlife felt like a loving tribute. It was sweet, nostalgic, and well-paced (in my humble opinion).
But Frozen Empire? It felt like it was trying to do too much. Too many ghosts, too many storylines, and a lot of screen time.
Was It Just Me? The Case for Shorter Movies
I'm starting to think movies, in general, are getting too long. Is it just me?

Remember the days of tight, 90-minute comedies? Those were the glory days! You got your laughs, you got your story, and you were out of the theater before your bladder staged a revolt.
Now everything's a three-hour epic. Even comedies seem to be pushing the two-hour mark.
I'm not saying Frozen Empire needed to be 90 minutes. But maybe shaving off 15-20 minutes could have helped.
Too Many Characters Spoil the Ectoplasm?
Think about it: We had the Spengler family, the original Ghostbusters crew, and a whole new set of characters.

Everyone deserved their moment to shine. But sometimes less is more, you know?
Maybe focusing on a smaller core group would have streamlined the plot. Fewer ghosts, more focused scares.
The Verdict: Still Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good (But Shorter, Please!)
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed seeing the proton packs in action again. The special effects were top-notch.

And I appreciate the effort to expand the Ghostbusters universe. But sometimes, a tighter runtime can make all the difference.
So, while I'll probably watch Frozen Empire again someday, I'll be hoping for a director's cut... that's actually shorter. Is that even a thing?
"We're ready to believe you!" - Except maybe about the perfect movie length.
What do you think? Was Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire too long? Or was it just the right length for a ghost-busting adventure?
Let me know your (potentially unpopular) opinions in the comments!
