How Long Is The Last Episode Of Attack On Titan

Seriously, How Long Was That Ending?!
Okay, fellow Attack on Titan fans, let's be real. We’re all still processing. Was it a masterpiece? A train wreck? Or something in between? And more importantly...how long was it?!
Officially? The final episode clocking in at around 85 minutes. That's longer than some movies! Honestly, I could have folded laundry and written a novel during that time.
Was It Worth the Wait?
That's the million-dollar question, isn't it? Some say every second was crucial. Every tear, every titan roar, essential to the narrative. Others are still screaming into the void about Eren's...choices. No judgement here.
Must Read
Let’s be honest, 85 minutes is a commitment. It’s a "cancel all plans, order pizza, and brace yourself" kind of commitment. A commitment some of us, perhaps, slightly regret?
But hey, at least we can say we experienced it! Together. Traumatized. But together. And armed with enough meme material to last a lifetime.
The "Unpopular Opinion" Section (Prepare Yourselves)
Here's where things get spicy. Buckle up. I'm about to say something that might get me banished from the fandom.

I think...I think it could have been shorter. Yes, I said it! Burn me at the stake! Please don’t.
Hear me out! Did we really need every single flashback? Every lingering shot of Eren's brooding face? Couldn’t some of that exposition have been, you know, expedited? I think it could be condensed at parts.
I love the show. I really do. But there were moments where I felt like I was watching a beautifully animated slideshow of existential dread. And while that's certainly Attack on Titan's brand, my attention span was begging for mercy.

Maybe I'm just impatient. Maybe I have the attention span of a goldfish. Or maybe, just maybe, a slightly tighter edit wouldn't have hurt. Just a thought!
Let's Talk Endings (Spoilers, Obviously!)
The actual ending itself is… divisive. Some see it as a tragic but necessary conclusion. A commentary on cycles of violence and the futility of hatred.
Others think Ymir needed therapy and Eren should have just talked to someone. And that the whole thing could have been avoided if they had decent conflict resolution skills.

Regardless, the sheer length of the episode definitely amplified the emotional impact. Whether that impact was positive or negative is, of course, entirely subjective.
So, What's the Verdict?
Was the 85-minute runtime justified? Was it a bloated masterpiece? A necessary evil? Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide.
But one thing is for sure: we'll be dissecting, debating, and meme-ing that ending for years to come. And maybe, just maybe, rewatching it (at 1.5x speed, of course). Let's be honest, we are going to.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the first season. Back when things were simpler. Back when the biggest problem was just whether Mikasa could bake a decent potato.
Ah, memories. At least those episodes didn't feel like they were longer than my entire lifespan.
P.S. If anyone needs a support group for coping with the Attack on Titan ending, let me know. I'm thinking we meet every Tuesday, bring tissues, and complain about Eren's questionable decisions. Who’s in?
