How Long Is Season 4 Of Attack On Titan

Okay, let's talk about Attack on Titan. Specifically, Season 4. How long is this thing, really?
It's Not Just Long, It's... Complicated
Trying to figure out the length of Season 4 is like trying to navigate a maze made of titans. It's confusing!
You see "Final Season" plastered everywhere. But "final" apparently meant "split into three parts."
Must Read
Part 1: The Beginning of the End (Maybe?)
So, Season 4 Part 1 aired. Cool, right? 16 episodes. We're getting somewhere.
Except then it's like, "Psych! There's more!"
Part 2: Still Final, We Promise! (Sort Of)
Season 4 Part 2 drops. This time, we get 12 episodes. Okay, getting closer to that grand finale, surely.
Spoiler alert: We weren't.

Part 3: The "Grand Finale" That Needed a Finale of Its Own
And then...Season 4 Part 3! But wait, it’s not just one part, is it?
Oh no, it's split into two specials. Talk about drawing things out!
Part 3 (Part 1) hit us with an hour-long special. Part 3 (Part 2) finished the story in November 2023, also with an extended runtime.
So, What's the Episode Count?
Adding it all up, Attack on Titan Season 4 is technically 28 episodes (plus two extended specials). That's a long season.

It felt longer though. Especially with the breaks between parts. Anyone else feel like they aged a decade waiting?
It was worth it, though, right? ...Right?
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Here's my super controversial, probably going-to-get-me-canceled opinion: I think they stretched it out a little too much.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the story. But those mid-season breaks were brutal.

I mean, did we really need three "final" parts? Couldn't they have condensed it somehow?
Why Did They Do It?
Probably a mix of things. Animation takes time, especially at that level of detail.
Plus, splitting it likely boosted viewership and kept the hype train rolling. Smart business move, even if it drove us fans a little bonkers.
I'm not mad, just…tired. Tired of waiting! Tired of the emotional rollercoaster!

Was It Worth It?
Ultimately, yes. Attack on Titan is a masterpiece. The animation, the story, the characters – it's all incredible.
But man, the length of Season 4 was a journey in itself. A long, winding, titan-filled journey.
Maybe now that it's truly over, I can finally sleep peacefully. Until the inevitable spin-off, of course.
So, how long is Season 4? Long enough to make you question the very nature of time. And long enough to give us all some serious anime-induced exhaustion.
But hey, at least we finally got to see Eren's ultimate plan, even if it was totally wild.
