Okay, picture this: You’re at a bar, probably MacLaren's Pub if you're me. Maybe you're with your best friends, maybe you’re nursing a beer after a long day. Then, BAM! You witness something so unbelievably chaotic, so hilariously messy, that you can’t help but become completely invested. That, my friends, is how I met Robin Scherbatsky and Barney Stinson's... situation.

Initially, it was all about Ted, right? He was Mr. Romantic, desperately searching for "the one." Robin was the cool, independent woman who challenged his fairytale notions. It was all very…predictable. And then, like a perfectly timed punchline, Barney Stinson waltzed in (metaphorically speaking, though knowing Barney, he probably actually did waltz at some point).
