But does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe, the controversial ending was a consequence of having too much story to tell?

Perhaps a shorter, more focused narrative would have led to a more satisfying conclusion. Just a thought.

So, here it is: How I Met Your Mother could have been a masterpiece with fewer episodes.

A leaner, meaner, more focused show. Quality over quantity, you know?
