Did Anyone Else Think Episode 12 Was...Underwhelming?
Okay, okay, before you grab your pitchforks, hear me out! I'm talking about How A Realist Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom, episode 12. We all love Souma, right? The guy's a genius!
But did anyone else feel like it was...just a tad bit slow? Maybe it was just me.
All That Talk, Talk, Talk!
Seriously, so much talking! It felt like a political science lecture disguised as anime. I get it, strategy is important. But where's the action?

Was Liscia...Boring?
Don't get me wrong, I adore Liscia. She's usually so witty and sharp. But in this episode? She felt a little…flat.
Maybe she was just tired? Ruling a kingdom can be exhausting, I guess.
The "Big" Reveal...Felt Small
The episode promised some sort of major revelation. I was expecting dragons! Maybe a secret ancient prophecy!
Instead, we got…more political maneuvering. A calculated power play, sure. But exciting? Not so much.
Souma's Still the Man, Though
Alright, I can't be completely negative. Souma still had some clever moments. His ability to predict everyone's moves is impressive.
And he's still super likeable. I'd totally let him run my kingdom.
The Other Characters Deserved More
What about everyone else? Where was Aisha and her adorable antics? More Juna singing would have been lovely. Even Hakuya's snark was missed!
It felt like they were all sidelined to make room for…more talking.
Unpopular Opinion: Give Us More Action!
Look, I understand that "Realist Hero" is about smart solutions, not just smashing things. But a little more sword fighting wouldn't hurt, right?
I'm not saying it needs to become Attack on Titan. Just a sprinkle of excitement!
Maybe It's Just a Setup?
Okay, maybe I'm being too harsh. Perhaps episode 12 was just setting the stage for something epic to come. I can hope, right?
I'm still a fan of the series. I'm just hoping for a little more…oomph in the next episode.
