Highschool Of The Dead Episode 10 English

Okay, let's talk about Highschool of the Dead. Specifically, episode 10. You know, the one everyone seems to love? Yeah, that one.
Episode 10: A "Masterpiece"? Really?
I'm just gonna say it. I think episode 10 is... overrated. I know, I know. Sacrilege! But hear me out.
Everyone raves about the ahem plot development. And the "intense" character moments. But did anyone else spend half the episode rolling their eyes?
Must Read
The "Deep" Themes
Supposedly, episode 10 delves into societal breakdown. And the human condition under pressure. But mostly, I remember bouncing physics. I mean really...
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a good zombie apocalypse. But the blatant fanservice felt like it was trying way too hard. Like it was the main event. And zombies were just...background noise.

Is it just me or did the whole hospital scene feel like a bizarre, slightly uncomfortable fever dream? Especially with the whole "nurses" situation. I'm not judging, but it was odd.
Characters and... Development?
Let's be honest, some of the character decisions felt baffling. Like, why are you prioritizing that right now? Zombies are eating faces, people!
And Rei? Don't even get me started. I'm not sure if she's brave or just completely oblivious. Either way, her arc felt... uneven, to put it politely.

I will say, Saeko is consistently awesome. She's a badass and doesn't take any nonsense. More Saeko, less... other stuff. Is what I am saying.
The Zombie Apocalypse Itself
The zombies themselves almost seemed like an afterthought. Remember, they're supposed to be the threat! The actual main course. But they get pushed into the background for…reasons.
I swear, the characters spent more time arguing about who gets to hold the weapons than actually fighting the undead. Priorities, people! Priorities!

And the animation...well, it's certainly memorable. Let's leave it at that. It definitely made a statement.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Maybe I'm just missing something. Maybe I'm too jaded for the nuanced brilliance of Highschool of the Dead episode 10. Maybe the plot flew right over my head.
But honestly? I'd rather watch a zombie shamble aimlessly for 20 minutes. Than sit through another "deep" conversation about boobs and societal collapse. I am sorry.

Look, I enjoy dumb fun as much as the next person. But episode 10 felt less like dumb fun and more like...forced fun. And that is my unpopular, potentially controversial, opinion.
So, am I alone in this? Or are there others out there who secretly think episode 10 isn't the masterpiece everyone claims it is? Let me know!
Because maybe, just maybe, we can start a support group for people who found episode 10 a little...much.
