The fight scenes in episode one were decent. Not mind-blowing, but decent.
I missed the old animation style a bit here. It had a certain… oomph that this episode lacked.

Absolutely! It’s High School DxD. Even a slightly different animation style and a plot that’s sometimes secondary can’t ruin the fun. Especially when it's Eng Sub.

My unpopular opinion? Season 4 Episode 1 wasn’t the BEST episode of High School DxD ever made. It was good, solid, entertaining.
But it was missing something. Maybe that raw, unadulterated energy of the earlier seasons.
