Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix Solarmovies

Okay, let's be real. We all have that Harry Potter movie we secretly judge. And for me, that movie is... deep breath...Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Don't get me wrong. I love Harry Potter. I practically grew up with the books. But, some things about movie five just don't sit right with me.
The Angsty Teen Years
Harry's angry! We get it! He's being haunted by Voldemort. Poor guy. But does he have to be SO shouty?
Must Read
It feels like every scene is Harry yelling at Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, even Hedwig probably got an earful! Maybe he just needed a hug and a Calming Draught.
And the romance? Cho Chang? Their kissing scene was, let's just say, awkward. Like watching two penguins trying to waltz. Cringe.
Umbridge: The Villain We Love to Hate
Dolores Umbridge, though. Now that's a villain! Imelda Staunton is amazing. She's perfectly awful.

All that pink! The kittens! The sugary sweet voice hiding a monster. She makes my skin crawl, and that's a sign of a great character, right?
Her "Educational Decrees" are ridiculously annoying. I bet even Snape was secretly rolling his eyes. Good old Professor Snape.
The detention scene where Harry has to write "I must not tell lies" with his own blood? Brutal! Even for a kid who battles Voldemort on the regular.
SOLARMOVIE and Sneaking a Peek
Back in the day, if you missed it in theaters, you had to wait MONTHS for the DVD release. Remember those days? Torture!

So, naturally, some of us may or may not have dabbled in the dark arts... of internet streaming. And maybe, just maybe, SOLARMOVIE was involved.
I'm not saying I endorsed it! But desperate times call for desperate measures. Plus, who could resist seeing the Battle of the Department of Mysteries ASAP?
The Ministry Mayhem
Speaking of the Department of Mysteries... that fight scene is epic! Finally, some action to distract from Harry's teenage angst.

The brains in jars? The room of doors? It's like a fever dream turned into a movie set. And the Prophecy? Super important, but also super vague.
Sirius Black's death though? Gut-wrenching. It's one of the saddest moments in the whole series.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. I think this movie could have been shorter.
Some scenes drag on. And some plot points felt a bit... unnecessary. Did we really need so much of the Weasley twins causing mayhem? (Okay, maybe we did).

It's not a bad movie by any means. Just not my favourite. Is it controversial to say that?
Maybe I'm just nitpicking. But I think Order of the Phoenix is the most... meh... of the Harry Potter films. Sorry, not sorry.
Though I will admit, if I stumbled across it on SOLARMOVIE (hypothetically, of course), I'd probably still watch it. Old habits die hard! Plus, Umbridge.
What do you think? Am I alone in this? Let me know your Harry Potter hot takes!
