Godfather Of Harlem Season 2 Episode 7 Uk

Okay, let's talk Godfather of Harlem, specifically Season 2 Episode 7, and even more specifically, the whole "UK" bit.
Did anyone else find it...a tad random?
England Calling?
Listen, I love a good transatlantic adventure. But sometimes I felt like I was watching a completely different show. Was this a gangster drama or a history lesson on British colonialism?
Must Read
I know, I know, everything's connected. But did we really need to spend so much time across the pond?
The British Are Coming...Eventually?
Don't get me wrong, the acting was great. Everyone brought their A-game. But sometimes I felt like the UK scenes were slowing things down.
Like, I get it, Bumpy Johnson needed to expand his empire. But there were a lot of problems right there in Harlem!

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion. But I was more invested in the drama with Malcolm X and the Italian mob.
All That Tea and Crumpets...And Heroin?
The show is amazing. I love the storyline of Bumpy Johnson. But suddenly mixing him up in UK politics made me confused.
I felt like I was watching Peaky Blinders meets Harlem.
And I kept waiting for someone to say "God save the Queen".

Was It Worth It?
I suppose it added some international flavour. Made the show feel bigger, more epic.
But honestly, I could have used more of Elise's struggles with addiction. Or the tension between Bumpy and his daughter.
Those were the storylines that really grabbed me!
The Verdict (Kind Of)
Look, I'm not saying the UK scenes were bad. Just... unexpected.

Maybe I'm too simple. I just wanted more gangster action, less global politics. Is that so wrong?
Maybe I'm just too focused on the Harlem side of Godfather of Harlem. All I really wanted was to see Bumpy kick some butt!
The Unpopular Opinion?
Perhaps this is a controversial take. Maybe I missed the deep, underlying genius of the UK plot line.
But sometimes, simpler is better. Give me Harlem, not Heathrow.

Don't get me wrong: I'm still watching. Just hoping for a little less London next season.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
At the end of the day, Godfather of Harlem is still a fantastic show. The cast is incredible. The story is compelling.
But the UK excursion felt a little out of place. Like a detour on a road trip when all you wanted was to get to your destination.
Hopefully, Season 3 will bring us back to the streets of Harlem where we belong. With a side of pizza, not fish and chips.
