Godfather Of Harlem Season 2 Episode 7 Starzplay

Okay, let's be real. Godfather of Harlem is great. Season 2 had some absolute bangers. But let's chat about episode 7, specifically on Starzplay, because... well, I have thoughts.
My Unpopular Opinion? Maybe.
Episode 7, "Bonanno Appeal," wasn't bad. Seriously, it wasn't! But did it feel...a little slow? Like we were treading water before the next big wave? Maybe it's just me.
We see Bumpy Johnson dealing with, you guessed it, more problems. He's juggling family, rivals, and the ever-present threat of the law. Rinse and repeat, right?
Must Read
The Drama Is Always High!
The episode definitely had its moments. The tension between the families is palpable. You could cut it with a (very expensive) knife. Did it advance the overall plot as much as other episodes? Hmmm...
And the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. storyline is always compelling. His internal struggles are so relatable, even if his circumstances are, thankfully, not.
I just felt a slight lull compared to the rollercoaster ride of the previous episodes. Is that a crime? I think not!

The Beauty Is In Details
The costumes, the sets, the music. Everything about Godfather of Harlem screams quality. Even in a "slower" episode, the details are stunning.
The acting is consistently top-notch. Forest Whitaker as Bumpy Johnson? A masterclass. Seriously, give that man all the awards.
And the supporting cast is incredible. Everyone brings their A-game. They deliver the goods every single time, without any shadow of a doubt.

The Bonanno Appeal... Did It Work?
The episode title itself hints at the Bonanno family's machinations. Did their appeal work? Well, that's the question, isn't it?
It definitely sets the stage for future conflict. More power plays, more betrayals, more everything we love (and love to hate) about gangster dramas.
But did it completely grip me from start to finish? Not gonna lie, I might have checked my phone once or twice. Don't judge me!
Still Hooked, Though
Despite my minor reservations, I'm still completely invested in Godfather of Harlem. I'm dying to see what happens next.

The show is smart, stylish, and full of compelling characters. I'm already counting down the days until the next season.
So, while episode 7 on Starzplay might not be my absolute favorite, it's still a solid entry in a fantastic series. And who am I to judge, anyway? Just a humble viewer with an opinion.
Maybe I'm alone in this. Maybe everyone else thought it was the best episode ever. That's okay! We can still be friends. Just promise me you'll watch it again and tell me what you think.

Besides, let's face it, even a slightly less-than-perfect episode of Godfather of Harlem is still better than most of what's on TV. Am I right?
"A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man."I think Bumpy needs a little reminder of that! Maybe that's why I was a little underwhelmed this episode, a little reminder of some real family drama!
Ultimately, Godfather of Harlem, even with its occasional slower moments, is a must-watch. Don't let my nitpicking deter you. Tune in to Starzplay and experience the drama for yourself.
I think it is an outstanding and high quality production, still needs to keep up the pace to keep the audience engaged!
