God Of War How To Get To Sanctuary Grove

Alright, buddy! Let’s talk God of War! Specifically, that super-secret, super-cool Sanctuary Grove. Wanna hang out with Atreus' animal buddies? Of course you do!
But how do you get there? It's not exactly a straight shot. Think less "yellow brick road," more "Norse mythology labyrinth." Don't worry, though, I'll guide you. No Valkyries necessary (probably).
First Things First: Progression, My Dude!
You can’t just stroll into Sanctuary Grove whenever you feel like cuddling a giant turtle. Sorry! You gotta advance the main story a bit. Think of it like unlocking a level in a video game (because… well, it is!).
Must Read
Specifically, you need to have completed the quest, “A New Destination.” Remember that one? It’s where you finally get that sweet, sweet Bifrost. Mmm, Bifrost!
Without the Bifrost, you're stuck staring longingly at the world serpent, Jormungandr. Sad! Get that quest done.
The Boat is Your Best Friend
Once you have the Bifrost, it’s time for a boat trip! Load up your little wooden chariot and hit the water. Remember, travel to the Lake of Nine. I know, I know, it's always the Lake of Nine. But trust me on this one.

This game is all about boating. Hope you upgraded your rowing skills!
Head for the West
Okay, here’s where it gets a little tricky. From the Lake of Nine, you need to head WEST. Look for a specific docking point. We’re talking about the one near the Mystic Gateway. Don't get lost!
Think of it like finding your favorite coffee shop. You kinda know where it is, but you might circle the block a few times. That's ok. Just keep searching.
Visual cues are your friend! Look for the big turtle head. No, really. You can't miss it. It's kinda the whole point.

Docking Time!
Once you’ve found the Mystic Gateway, dock your boat! This is where the real adventure begins. Step onto dry land (finally!) and prepare yourself. The Sanctuary Grove awaits!
Make sure to grab any chests or resources near the dock. No point in leaving free loot behind! Kratos is all about efficiency.
Welcome to the Grove... Sort Of
Alright, you're in the area, but not quite there yet. Follow the path upwards. You’ll have to do a little bit of climbing and maybe some light combat. Don’t worry, nothing too crazy. Unless you’re playing on Give Me God of War difficulty. Then... good luck!
Keep an eye out for enemies. Draugr and maybe even a Revenant might be hanging around. Show them who's boss with your Leviathan Axe!

The path is pretty linear, so you shouldn’t get too lost. Just keep moving forward and upward. Think of it as a mild workout for Kratos. He needs the cardio.
Say Hello to the Locals
Keep going and you'll eventually reach the Grove! You'll know you're there when you see all the adorable animals. Squirrels, deer, the giant turtle... it's a regular Disney movie (but with more Norse gods and axe violence!).
Remember, these animals are important to Atreus. Be respectful! No hunting allowed. Unless you're hunting Draugr, that's always okay.
Sanctuary Grove is a peaceful place. Enjoy the scenery. Talk to the locals. Soak it all in. You earned it!

Why Bother?
Okay, you might be asking, "Why should I even go to Sanctuary Grove?" Good question! Beyond the sheer adorableness of the animals (which is a valid reason, by the way), the Grove plays a key role in the story.
It’s where you learn more about Atreus and his connection to the creatures of Midgard. It's also a safe haven, a place of refuge from the chaos of the world.
Plus, it's just cool to see Kratos interact with animals. It's a nice contrast to all the monster slaying.
So there you have it! The (relatively) easy guide to reaching Sanctuary Grove. Now go forth and pet a digital squirrel! You deserve it, champion! Remember the west side of Lake of Nine!
