Go With The Clouds North By Northwest Manga

Okay, let's talk manga. Specifically, Go With the Clouds, North-by-Northwest. Sounds intense, right?
It's by Aki Irie. You might know her. I'm just gonna say it: I think it's…kinda overrated.
Atmosphere Over Action?
Don't get me wrong. The art is gorgeous. Seriously, Irie-sensei knows how to draw snow.
Must Read
The whole atmosphere is top-notch. So moody and mysterious. I get why people are obsessed.
But after a while, I started wondering: where's the story? Are we just vibing in Iceland forever?
The Protagonist Problem
Our main guy, Kei Miyama? He's... fine. Quiet. Maybe too quiet.
He’s got this cool amnesiac thing going on. Which, okay, I’m usually into. But he's so detached!

I wanted to grab him by the shoulders. "Feel something, dude! Anything!" I may be asking for too much.
Supporting Cast Shenanigans
His cousin, Gin, is a delight. She's energetic and a bit clueless. She's got that charm.
But even she couldn't save me from...boredom. I hate to say it! Maybe I need more caffeine.
All these other characters show up. They’re all intriguing enough. But they never quite gelled for me.

Unpopular Opinion Time
Here’s where I might get some flak. I think the mystery is drawn out for too long.
I understand slow burns. I love a good slow burn! But this felt more like a slow… simmer? On low heat?
By the time the plot started thickening, I'd already lost interest. Sorry, not sorry.
Gorgeous, But…
Look, I appreciate the artistry. The landscapes are breathtaking. Irie's skill is undeniable.

But pretty pictures can only take you so far. I needed more oomph! That emotional punch!
Did I miss something? Was I supposed to be interpreting complex symbolism hidden in the snowflakes?
Maybe It's Me?
Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for it. Maybe I needed more action. Or maybe less snow.
Perhaps I just have zero appreciation for subtle storytelling. It could be my terrible taste, guys.

It’s definitely a me problem, right? Please tell me I'm not alone in this.
So, Should You Read It?
Absolutely! Don’t let my grumbling deter you. You might love it! It's popular for a reason.
If you're into atmospheric mysteries, give Go With the Clouds, North-by-Northwest a shot. You really should!
Just don't expect a rollercoaster. Prepare for a leisurely stroll through a beautifully drawn, very quiet snowscape. Maybe that is what you are looking for!
