Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha No Oukoku Saikenki Episode 2

Okay, let's talk about Realist Hero, specifically Episode 2. Anyone else feel...a little underwhelmed? Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the ride. But that episode felt like a whole lot of talking and not a ton of doing.
Souma's got his advisors. He's got his harem...wait, scratch that. It's a "talent pool", right? Regardless, he's gathering his team. But seriously, how many meetings can one guy have?
The Endless Meeting of Doom
Seriously, it felt like the entire episode was just back-to-back conferences. We get it, Souma Kazuya is a smart guy. He can strategize and delegate. But my attention span is shorter than a politician's promise.
Must Read
I'm not saying I wanted explosions every five seconds. But a little less exposition and a little more action would have been nice. Maybe a surprise monster attack during the council meeting? Just a thought.
Liscia Elfrieden: Still Best Girl?
I'm sticking with it! I said what I said! Liscia is holding her own. She's loyal, capable, and doesn't take any of Souma's...antics. She's a solid choice as the future queen, in my humble opinion.

I also like how she balances Souma. He's all about logic and efficiency. She brings the emotional intelligence. They make a good team, even if their "engagement" is a bit forced.
The Power of…Cooking?
Souma's using his modern knowledge to improve the kingdom's food supply. Which is actually a really smart move. Feed the people, keep them happy. Basic stuff, right?

But spending so much time on that felt like filler. Yes, food security is important. No, I didn't need a detailed explanation of medieval agriculture reform. Maybe I'm just hungry.
The "Unpopular" Opinion Zone
Here's where things might get spicy. I think Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha No Oukoku Saikenki, or Realist Hero, is a good show. But it's not a great show, at least not yet. And Episode 2 cemented that for me.
It’s resting a little too much on the "smart MC outsmarts everyone with modern knowledge" trope. Yes, Souma is clever. But I need more than just lectures to stay invested. Give me some drama! Give me some exciting conflicts!

Maybe I'm being too harsh. Maybe I'm expecting too much. But I know this show has potential. It just needs to...pick up the pace. Less talking, more doing, please!
Look, I still enjoy watching it. I'll keep tuning in every week. I'm just hoping future episodes will have more of the elements that made me excited about the series in the first place. The political intrigue, the character interactions, the plot.

So, am I alone in this? Did anyone else find Episode 2 a bit slow? Or am I just a grumpy viewer who needs more explosions in my isekai anime?
Let me know your thoughts! Maybe you can convince me I'm wrong. Or maybe we can just agree that Liscia is awesome and move on.
And by the way, I'm still waiting for Souma to actually fight something. Like, with a sword. Or at least a well-aimed pot of stew.
