Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha No Oukoku Saikenki Ep 8

Okay, let's talk Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha No Oukoku Saikenki, or as I like to call it, "Realist Hero" episode 8. Did anyone else feel...underwhelmed?
I know, I know, blasphemy! Everyone loves Souma. He's smart, resourceful, and apparently, a fantastic politician. But episode 8? Maybe it's just me.
The Longest Meeting EVER
Seriously, the episode felt like one giant, never-ending meeting. We get it, Souma is good at strategy. I'm not saying I wanted explosions, but something...more?
Must Read
The discussions about trade routes and resource management? My eyes started to glaze over. Maybe I should've brought coffee. Or a pillow.
Is it just me, or...?
Am I the only one who thinks the supporting characters are carrying the show? Liscia is great, and Aisha is just adorable. Even the Three Dukes have their moments.

Souma feels a bit...detached sometimes. Like he's playing a strategy game and we're just watching. A very long strategy game.
I miss the food! Remember when Souma was revolutionizing cooking? Those were the days. Bring back the culinary adventures!
Unpopular Opinion Time
Here's my confession: I sometimes skip the political strategy bits. I'm more interested in the character interactions and the world-building. Sue me.

I appreciate the effort that goes into the world-building. The kingdom's problems feel real, even if the solutions are a bit...convenient.
Maybe I'm just easily distracted. Shiny things! Cute characters! Delicious food! You know, the usual.
Where's the Danger?
I felt like in this episode, the stakes were very low. Everything felt like a minor inconvenience that Souma quickly resolved.

I need more suspense, more drama! Show me a villain, or a real, life-threatening problem. Let's get the blood pumping!
I'm not saying the show needs to be all action, all the time. But a little bit of conflict wouldn't hurt. Just saying.
Hoping for More
Don't get me wrong, I still like "Realist Hero." The premise is interesting, and the characters have potential. It’s not terrible, just a bit dull.

I just hope the show finds a better balance between politics and personality. More character moments, less spreadsheet analysis.
Maybe episode 9 will be better. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! And maybe bringing that pillow, just in case.
Let me know if you agree, or if you think I'm completely wrong. I'm always up for a good debate about anime.
