I mean, who doesn’t love a good "fish out of water" story, especially when that fish is a tank?

Plus, the potential for political intrigue is HUGE. The Empire, the JSDF, the other nations… it's a powder keg waiting to explode.

I think Season 3 could really dive into that aspect, and it would be awesome!

What Could Season 3 Be About?

Maybe Itami and his crew get sent on a new mission to a different part of the Special Region. New dangers, new allies, new waifus. You know, the usual.

Or perhaps the focus shifts to the political machinations back on Earth, with the JSDF struggling to justify their presence in another world.

Imagine the UN getting involved. Now that’s a thought!

Or, and this is my personal favorite, maybe a new gate opens up to another world. Double the fantasy, double the fun!

The Waiting Game: Is There Hope?

Of course, the big question is: will it ever actually happen?

Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. The anime industry is a fickle beast.

But hey, a man can dream, right? We can keep re-watching the first two seasons, hoping for a miracle.

We can scour the internet for any scrap of news, any hint that Season 3 is in the works.

We can even start a petition. (Okay, maybe that's a bit much. But I’m tempted!)
