Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 Direct Tv

Okay, let's talk about that episode. You know the one. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3. "The Long Night." Remember the hype?
We all huddled around our TVs, praying our DirectTV wouldn't buffer. Mine did. Of course, it did.
The Darkness Dilemma
First things first: the lighting. Or, rather, the lack thereof. Did anyone actually see what was happening?
Must Read
I squinted so hard I thought my eyeballs would fall out. Honestly, I felt like I was watching a shadow puppet show directed by a bat.
Maybe they saved money on the CGI by making it super dark? Just a thought.
Arya's Epic Moment
Alright, alright, let's give credit where credit is due. Arya Stark. Badass level: over 9000.
That sneaky little jump and stab? Iconic. Absolutely iconic. I cheered so loud my neighbors probably thought I was being murdered.

But...was it too easy? Just a tiny bit? Maybe the Night King should have had a better security system.
The Strategy (Or Lack Thereof)
Let's be real. The battle plan seemed…questionable. Sending the Dothraki into the darkness first? Ouch.
They charged bravely, like a bunch of glowing moths to a flame. A very icy, undead flame.
My tactical genius screamed, "NOOOO! Why aren't they using more fire?!" But hey, I'm just a person yelling at their TV.

Bran's Whereabouts
And what was Bran doing the whole time? Being a tree? A really, really boring tree.
He warged into some ravens. Cool. Helpful? Debatable.
I was hoping for some epic Bran moment. Maybe he'd warg into the Night King and make him trip. But nope. Just ravens.
The Dragon Disappointment
Okay, I love dragons. Who doesn't love dragons? But they were kind of…underwhelming in this episode.

Flying around, breathing fire... mostly at each other. Maybe they were just having a sibling rivalry moment?
I was expecting a dragon demolition derby. What I got was more like a dragon dogfight with questionable visibility.
My Unpopular Opinion
Here it comes. My super spicy, potentially controversial opinion. Deep breaths, everyone.
I think... I think the episode was…fine. Just fine. Not amazing. Not terrible. Fine.

I know, I know! Blasphemy! But honestly, the darkness, the questionable strategy, the underwhelming dragons...it all added up to "meh" for me.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe my DirectTV buffering ruined the experience.
But hey, at least Arya had a cool moment. And now we can finally see what happens next. (Hopefully in better lighting.)
So, did you love it? Hate it? Or were you, like me, just…whelmed? Let me know!
