Game Of Throne Season 1 Episode 1 Cast

Winter is Coming...and So is This Cast List!
Okay, let's be real. Remember back in 2011 when Game of Thrones premiered? We were all like, "Dragons? Medieval politics? Okay, maybe?" Little did we know we were about to be OBSESSED.
But before the Red Wedding, the White Walkers, and the battles for the Iron Throne, there was Season 1, Episode 1. And wow, what a cast introduction!
The Stark Family: The Heart of the North
First up, we have Ned Stark, played by the legendary Sean Bean. Remember him? The honorable guy who just couldn't catch a break? (Spoiler alert for, well, everything in Game of Thrones!).
Must Read
Then there's Catelyn Stark, portrayed by Michelle Fairley. A powerful woman, a fierce mother, and possibly the best mediator in Westeros (though that's not saying much, given the general level of conflict!).
Of course, the Stark kids! Robb Stark (Richard Madden), the future King in the North (RIP). Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), who starts as a naive dreamer and becomes a total queen.

And who could forget Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), the little badass who just wants to learn to fight? Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), the all-seeing Three-Eyed Raven in training. And Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson), the youngest and, let's be honest, most easily forgotten (sorry, Rickon!).
Let's not forget Jon Snow (Kit Harington)! Technically Ned's bastard son, but in our hearts, a Stark too. He knows nothing, but we love him anyway!
The Lannisters: Hear Them Roar (and Plot)
Now, for the family everyone loves to hate (and secretly admires): the Lannisters! First, there's Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance), the ruthless patriarch. He makes Machiavelli look like a kindergarten teacher.

Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), the queen who will do anything for her children. Seriously, anything. And Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), the Kingslayer with a hidden heart of...well, something resembling gold, eventually!
Then there's Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), the witty, intelligent, and often underestimated black sheep of the family. He's the only Lannister we can genuinely root for most of the time.

Across the Narrow Sea: A Dragon Queen is Rising
Across the Narrow Sea, we meet Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), the last of the Targaryens (or so we thought!). She starts as a pawn but quickly transforms into a powerful queen with dragons. Talk about character development!
And let's not forget Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa), the fearsome Dothraki warlord who becomes Daenerys's husband and protector. He's basically a walking, talking, horse-riding tank.
Other Notable Faces From Episode 1
We can't forget Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy), the king whose death sets everything in motion. A lover of wine, women, and boar hunts (maybe not in that order).

There's also Viserys Targaryen (Harry Lloyd), Daenerys's arrogant and power-hungry brother. Let's just say he gets what he deserves.
"He was no dragon. Fire cannot kill a dragon."Ouch!
And finally, a brief glimpse of Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger) (Aidan Gillen), the master manipulator whose webs of intrigue will ensnare almost everyone. Remember, "Chaos is a ladder."
So there you have it! A quick trip down memory lane to the amazing cast of Game of Thrones Season 1, Episode 1. Who was your favorite character when you first watched?
