Okay, Full House fans. Let's talk about something. Something...dino-sized.

Specifically, that dinosaur episode. You know the one.

Before you sharpen your pitchforks, hear me out! Is it just me, or is the dinosaur storyline...a little weird?

The Dino Dilemma

Let's be real. Michelle wants to touch the dinosaur. It's a big deal. Understandable, she's little.

But everyone acts like she's trying to steal the Crown Jewels of England!

I mean, it's a museum. Aren't museums meant to be experienced?

Yes, I know. "Don't touch the exhibits!" It's ingrained in us. But is a little tap on a fossil really the end of the world?

Uncle Jesse is usually the cool one. But in this episode? Woah.

His reaction to Michelle's desire to touch the dino is… intense.

He acts like she's about to unleash a T-Rex apocalypse on San Francisco.

It's like, calm down, Uncle Jesse. It's just a bone.

Okay, here it comes. Brace yourselves.

I think Michelle should have touched the dinosaur (just a little!).

Sue me! (Please don't actually sue me, Danny Tanner.)

A gentle pat wouldn't have hurt anyone. And it would've made her day! Think of the childhood memories!

I get the need for rules. And preservation. But come on! A little leniency, people!

The moral of the story is supposed to be about following rules.

But I think it accidentally teaches kids that adults are sometimes overly strict and unreasonable. Maybe?

Or maybe I'm reading too much into a 90s sitcom episode about a dinosaur.

Probably.

Look, I adore Full House. The hugs. The lessons. The catchphrases! "Have mercy!"

This is all in good fun. A playful ribbing of a beloved show.

But sometimes, I think they got a little too serious about that dino.
