Fear The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 8

Okay, people, buckle up! Let’s dive headfirst into the absolute rollercoaster that was Fear The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 8: "The Door." Prepare for some serious feels!
The End of an Era (and Lots of Tears)
So, let's get the big elephant out of the room right away. John Dorie? Gone. Vanished. Sent to the great beyond. I’m not crying, you’re crying!
I mean, seriously! After all that time spent trying to be the good guy, trying to help people, he gets…this? It's like giving a puppy a lemon after it fetches your newspaper every day. Unfair!
Must Read
The episode centers around John's unwavering optimism. Even after being literally washed up by the river of despair. He was still trying to fix things with June.
Dakota: Sweet or Sociopath? (Spoiler: Probably Sociopath)
And then there’s Dakota. Oh, Dakota. Sweet little Dakota, who also happens to be a walking, talking chaos machine. Turns out, she pulled the trigger and offed Cameron.
I'm starting to think "trusting Dakota" should be the new definition of "bad idea" in the dictionary. Seriously, next time someone says "Hey, should we trust Dakota?" just scream "NOOOOOO!" and run in the opposite direction.

She just kept adding more bodies to her already impressive list, like she was collecting rare stamps or something. Dakota is not the "Good Samaritan" that we thought her to be!
The Bridge: A Metaphor, an Obstacle, and a Killer
The broken bridge becomes a really meaningful part of the episode. It's more than just a physical barrier.
It represents the broken relationship between John and June. Like the bridge, their trust had crumbled, leaving them stranded on opposite sides.

Of course, it also serves as a convenient place for Dakota to lure someone for a little…ahem…permanent relocation. A little too convenient!
June's Heartbreak and Badassery
June is probably the strongest character in this episode. She is absolutely devastated by John's death.
But she isn't just going to sit around and mope. When she figures out Dakota is the problem, she turns into a one-woman wrecking crew.

It's like watching a butterfly transform into a velociraptor. It's amazing and terrifying, all at the same time!
Morgan's Dilemma (Again!)
And then we have Morgan! Always wrestling with his internal demons. Is he going to kill or not kill?
"I don't want to be that person again!"
He faces the tough question of what to do with Dakota. Is she beyond saving? Has she gone full-on evil?

It’s a classic Morgan situation. One minute he is telling people he's not the guy who kills, and the next he's wielding his stick like a ninja warrior! Classic!
The Ending: A Ray of Hope…Maybe?
The episode ends with June leaving. She can no longer stomach being in the same space as Dakota. Talk about a power move!
Maybe she is off to become the lone wolf that everyone needs, but no one deserves. Someone please give her a new spin-off!
This episode left us emotionally drained. But, as usual, wanting more Fear The Walking Dead. I can't wait to see what happens next!
