Fate/grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 19

Fate/grand Order Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia Episode 19

Okay, let's talk about that episode. You know, the one with the feels. Episode 19 of Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.

Is Episode 19 Overrated? My Hot Take

I'm just gonna say it. Maybe it's a controversial opinion. But, is episode 19 really all that?

Don't get me wrong! It was good. Really good even. But was it the BEST episode EVER?

The Gilgamesh Factor

Let's be honest. A lot of the love comes from Gilgamesh, right? Everyone loves a king, especially when he's a jerk with a heart of gold (plated in diamonds, probably).

He's got that charisma. That presence. And those abs. Ahem, I mean, kingly qualities!

The Uruk Wall – A Bit Much?

The whole "building the wall" thing? Powerful imagery, sure. Epic music, check.

But the slow-motion close-ups of every brick? Felt a little… drawn out. Like they were padding for time.

Mash's Moment – Almost There

Mash getting her moment to shine was great. Finally! She deserves it!

But something felt a bit... forced? Like they were checking off a box: "Mash development – complete!"

Anna's Sacrifice - Heartbreaking but expected

Anna's death did hit hard, let's be real. A gut punch that left you reeling.

But in a way, I knew it was coming. It felt like the anime trope was in full swing.

The Animation - Flawless as Usual

Okay, I can't complain about the animation. It was gorgeous. No argument there!

The battle scenes were incredible. Especially Enkidu going all out.

The Music - Perfection

The soundtrack is fire. Yuki Kajiura does no wrong in my book!

The music definitely elevated the emotional impact of the episode. I even have it on my playlist.

In Conclusion: Great, Not God-Tier

Look, episode 19 of Babylonia is objectively good. It's a well-made, emotional rollercoaster.

But maybe, just maybe, it's a little bit overhyped. Is it just me?

I will say though, the scene with Gilgamesh tearing up? Chef's kiss. That got me good.

Maybe I'm just a cynical old fan. Jaded by years of anime. But I wanted something more!
