Fate Stay Night Movie Heaven's Feel Iii Spring Song

Okay, let's talk about Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel III. spring song. I know, I know. It's the finale. It's supposed to be EPIC.
But...and this is where people might throw tomatoes... I think it's a little...overrated? Hear me out!
The Sakura Problem
Sakura is the heart of the Heaven's Feel route. No arguments there. The entire plot revolves around her and her...issues.
Must Read
But sometimes, I just wanted to shake her. "Girl, stand up for yourself!" Is that just me?
I get it, trauma and all that. But the constant damsel-in-distress routine got a little old. Just a tiny bit!
Shirou's Heroic Complex: Still Going Strong
Shirou. Oh, Shirou. The boy who can't stop saving people, even if it kills him.
In Heaven's Feel, he takes it to a whole new level. He literally morphs into a sword. A SWORD!

I admire his dedication, truly. But sometimes, I'm like, "Dude, maybe just chill for five minutes?".
The Fights: Pretty, But...
The animation is gorgeous. Ufotable always delivers on that front.
Seeing Saber Alter fight Berserker? Breathtaking. No complaints about the visuals at all!
But after a while, all the fighting just blended together. It was flashy, but did it always matter?

Illya: The Real MVP
Okay, this is where I'll fight anyone. Illya is the unsung hero of Heaven's Feel.
Her sacrifice? Heartbreaking. Her development? Amazing. She deserves all the headpats.
Honestly, I was more invested in her story than Sakura's. Unpopular opinion, I know.
The Ending: Bittersweet, But Satisfying?
The ending is...well, it's an ending. It's happier than some Fate endings, for sure.
But did it fully resolve everything? Did it leave me completely satisfied? Not quite.

Maybe I'm just a cynical old grump, but it felt a tad rushed.
My Hot Take: It's Good, Not God-Tier
Don't get me wrong, Heaven's Feel III. spring song is a good movie. A very good movie, even.
But is it the masterpiece everyone claims it is? I'm not so sure.
I enjoyed it, I really did. But I walked away thinking, "That was good...but not life-changing". And maybe that's okay. It could even be considered my unpopular opinion.

I feel like the hype train maybe went a little too far with this one.
So, bring on the hate comments! I'm ready. Just kidding (mostly).
Maybe I just prefer the more straightforward storylines. Fate/Zero, anyone? Now that's a masterpiece in my book.
But hey, different strokes for different folks. If you loved Heaven's Feel III. spring song, that's awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Just don't be too mad at me for thinking it's a tad overrated. Peace out!
